Music: Children participate in music three times per week. It encourages the development of motor, auditory and rhythmic skills. Group participation, imaginative expression and building of self-esteem are naturally incorporated into the musical experience.
Sports: A weekly, non-competitive sports program helps to develop gross motor skills, as well as confidence, coordination and team spirit. Sports introduced include basketball, soccer, hockey and baseball.
French: Kindergarten students are introduced to the basics of conversational French through a hands-on, interactive program that features the use of puppets, stories and role-playing activities.
Mixed Media Art: Full-day Nursery and Kindergarten children will be introduced to the works of famous artists, and are given the opportunity to create their own masterpieces using a wide variety of media.
Yoga and Movement: This program is for all students. "When children learn techniques for self health, relaxation, and inner fulfillment, they can navigate life's challenges with a little more ease. Yoga at an early age encourages self esteem and body awareness with a physical activity that is non competitive. Fostering cooperation and compassion, instead of opposition, is a great gift to give our children."
Hebrew: All students are introduced to the basics of conversational Hebrew and vocabulary based on seasonal and Jewish holidays through an interactive program that incorporates puppets, felt-board story telling and hands-on activities.
